Ansa is looking for a passionate and dedicated Mechanic to join our busy workshop located in Wrexham Town Centre. Salary: From £28,000 per annum

Role Overview:

As a Mechanic at Ansa, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing vehicles to the highest standards. You will be required to work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and safely. You will also be responsible for communicating with customers, keeping them updated on the progress of their vehicle, and completing all necessary paperwork.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Maintenance and Repair:

    • Conduct routine servicing, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs on a wide range of vehicles.

    • Perform regular inspections to identify and resolve any issues.

    • Replace or repair faulty parts, including brakes, suspension, and exhaust systems.

    • Remove and fit tyres on various vehicles using appropriate tools and techniques.

  • Customer Communication:

    • Provide clear and professional updates to customers regarding their vehicle's status.

    • Offer advice on vehicle care and maintenance when appropriate.

  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Complete accurate records for each job, including diagnostics and parts used.

    • Ensure all completed work meets safety and quality standards.

  • Team Collaboration:

    • Work alongside other mechanics and team members to meet deadlines and maintain workshop efficiency.

    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.


  • Working Hours:

    • Monday to Friday: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm

    • Every Other Saturday: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm

    • Overtime opportunities may be available.


    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Experience:

      • Previous experience in a similar role, either in a workshop or garage environment.


    • Mechanical Knowledge:

      • Strong understanding of vehicle systems and components.

      • Ability to diagnose issues and perform repairs independently.


    • Communication Skills:

      • Good verbal communication to liaise with customers and team members.


    • Team Player:

      • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.


    • Attention to Detail:

      • Commitment to maintaining high standards in all tasks.


    • Desirable:

      • Full UK driving license.

      • Basic knowledge of health and safety practices in a workshop setting.
